The Pointe at Gateway

It’s all about location at The Pointe at Gateway. Picture this: It’s 7 p.m. You rise from your couch, stroll a few steps to your elevator, depart the building’s Huron Road entrance, and by 7:05, you’re in your seat awaiting the Indians’ first pitch at Progressive Field. Ditto for Cavs basketball at “The Q” Arena. All the excitement of the $450 million Gateway complex is a 90-second walk away. Thirty of the city’s best restaurants and pubs, are just a few-minutes walk from your doorstep at Pointe at Gateway including  Iron Chef, Michael Symon’s “Lola” on East 4th Street, downtown’s newest hot-spot.  Tower City, also just a few minutes walk from Pointe at Gateway, is the hub of the Regional Transit Authority’s rapid transit and bus lines. A ride to either Cleveland Hopkins Airport or the culturally acclaimed University Circle takes about 20 minutes. Walk east down Huron Road for four minutes, and you’re at Playhouse Square, the largest theater restoration project in the country. And the Pointe at Gateway is in the heart of downtown festivals and holiday events that take place throughout the year.

The moment you enter the Pointe at Gateway, you’ll savor its history. Built in 1915 as a prominent office building in Cleveland’s “New Center,” Pointe at Gateway housed numerous noteworthy tenants. Included were the architect later named by President Richard M. Nixon to be Architect of the Capitol Building in Washington. Now, home to 42 luxury condos, including 20 one-bedroom, 20 two-bedroom, and 2 two-story penthouse suites, many of the historic touches of Pointe at Gateway still remain: the high lobby ceilings, a marble staircase, the frosted glass hallway partitions on certain floors. Retrofitted in 1998 by Sandvick Architects, one of the nation’s leading practitioners of historic renovation, the structure retains its early 20th century commercial style, while offering all the amenities of today’s finest condos.

For sheer excitement and location, with prices starting at $114,000, no other condominium building in Downtown Cleveland can approach the Pointe at Gateway.
